GITEX (Gulf Information Technology Exhibition), the famous global tech event, is making its European debut in 2025. GITEX Europe 2025 will take place in Berlin from May 21-23 at Messe Berlin. This is the first time GITEX has expanded to Europe. This event follows the models of GITEX Africa in Marrakech, GITEX Asia in Singapore, and GITEX Global in Dubai.

InnoEdu, operating within the StartUp HUB, is engaged in a new Erasmus+ project dedicated to advancing sustainable agriculture knowledge and digital innovation in adult education. The project launched with a kickoff meeting on January 30-31, 2025, in Kastamonu, Turkey, where our team collaborated with Turkish and Italian partners to establish priorities and mapped out the next steps for implementation.
Grüman Róbert , Executive Director of StartUp HUB, and Oltean Csongor , Strategic Director of the organisation, presented the achievements of the past years and their plans for the future at the press conference on 15 January 2025. Since its establishment in 2021, StartUp HUB has created numerous opportunities for start-up and existing companies, helping them to grow and strengthen their market position by accessing European funding.
The international Erasmus+ project “Unity Against Hate”, organised by StartUp HUB, took place from 2 to 8 December at the European Studies Centre in Arcuș. The event was attended by 42 young people from 10 different countries – Italy, Romania, Portugal, Turkey, Hungary, Greece, Slovakia, the Netherlands, the Czech Republic and Poland.
Sfântu Gheorghe hosted the second meeting of the Erasmus+ project “Empowering the Future: A Game-Changing Entrepreneurship Program for VET Students,” focused on enhancing entrepreneurial education for vocational and technical education students. The project is implemented in collaboration between Puskás Tivadar Technical College, StartUp HUB, Heves County SZC Márciua 15 Vocational School, and Budapest Mobility. The meeting was attended by 24 representatives of the partners, who worked together to achieve the project’s objectives.
From November 3 to 12, the city of Sfântu Gheorghe hosted the international Erasmus+ training program titled “Say NO to Racism,” organized by the Association for Innovation in Adult Education. This program brought together 66 young people aged 18 to 30 from 11 countries: Georgia, Italy, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Poland, Moldova, the Czech Republic, Armenia, Portugal, Azerbaijan, Romania, and Hungary. The StartUp HUB team provided logistical support for the project.
Starting in December, StartUp HUB will launch five new training courses. These courses include: GDPR Expert, Competence Assessor, Trainer, Training Preparator and Project Manager. We encourage the enrolment of individuals who are open to new opportunities, eager to engage in continuous learning, support the professional growth of others, and share their knowledge and experience in their respective fields.
The new projects launched by StartUp HUB will provide free training opportunities for more than 7,000 employees, contributing to the competitiveness of companies and the development of human capital. The aim of this large-scale project is to support the development of leadership skills in companies, the improvement of digital skills, and the re-skilling of employees without professional qualifications. Training programs will begin next spring and be available throughout the country’s Central Development Region.
