The SES Program has reached another milestone: the winning entrepreneurs have officially signed their grant agreements, marking the moment when ideas leave the drawing board and begin their transformation into real businesses.

Over the coming weeks, we’ll be introducing these inspiring winners one by one. Today, we’d like you to meet Csutak Szilárd and his brand-new car repair workshop.

Tell us a bit about yourself and your business!

I’ve been working as a car mechanic for nearly twenty years, and I finally felt the time was right to take the leap and start my own business. I don’t just want to work as an employee anymore — I want to run my own fully independent workshop. I already have a building and some tools to get started, but with the support of the SES Program, I’ll be able to expand, invest in modern equipment, and offer a higher-quality service to my clients.

What qualities do you think are essential for someone starting their own business?

Perseverance, above all. There will always be obstacles, and you need to have the grit to overcome them. Confidence in yourself and a strong belief in your vision are just as important — you have to be convinced that you can do it.

What motivated you most to launch your business?

I see real potential in this field, especially because I own certain machines that are unique in the entire region. This gives me the opportunity to specialize in servicing self-driving cars, which is something truly innovative and rare around here. That uniqueness is what drives me forward.

How did you first hear about the SES Program, and how will you use the grant?

I first came across it on Facebook, and then several friends pointed it out to me. Later, I attended a presentation in Miercurea Ciuc, and that’s when I decided to go for it. I’ll use the funding to purchase new tools and equipment, and I also plan to install solar panels and batteries to make the workshop eco-friendly.

In what ways will your business give back to the community?

There are several local associations — supporting children’s homes, the visually impaired, and people with disabilities. My plan is to partner with them and provide free car maintenance services, where they’d only need to cover half of the spare parts costs. I believe this kind of cooperation is a genuine way to make a difference.

Finally, what advice would you give to someone who’s just starting out on their entrepreneurial journey?

Do your research first. Get a clear picture of the market and your opportunities. If you see potential, then go for it — with courage and persistence. Confidence and perseverance are the keys to turning an idea into reality.

The SES Program has reached another milestone: the winning entrepreneurs have officially signed their grant agreements, marking the moment when ideas leave the drawing board and begin their transformation into real businesses.

[82

post-10283","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-entrepreneurship-development
