This time, we bring you the story of Szűcs Andrea, who is launching her business in Covasna County — a project centered around the rental of two mobile homes designed to create a new tourist destination, offering visitors comfortable and affordable accommodation close to nature.

Tell us about yourself and your business!

I have always been passionate about tourism and wanted to contribute to the development of this sector in our region. Since we already have a vacation home, the idea came naturally: why not expand this concept with two modern mobile homes available for rent? On a private plot of land, in a quiet and natural setting, we plan to create an authentic retreat where guests can relax and disconnect from the fast pace of daily life. Our goal is to offer an affordable yet comfortable and high-quality option for everyone looking for rest and relaxation in a peaceful environment.

What was your main motivation for starting this venture?

I’ve always wanted to be independent and work for myself. After several professional experiences, I realized that true satisfaction comes from investing in your own dreams. Why build someone else’s future when I can build my own? This belief gave me the courage to take the first step, even knowing that it wouldn’t be easy.

What qualities do you think are essential for someone starting their own business?

Patience, perseverance, and strong stress tolerance. The administrative process can be challenging, so it’s important to stay motivated and focused on your goals. You have to be resilient and trust that consistency will pay off in the long run.

How did you hear about this opportunity, and how will you use the funding?

I work right next to the StartUp HUB office, so I was among the first to hear about the SES Program. I also attended a conference at Panorama, and that’s when I decided to apply. The financial support will be used to purchase two wooden mobile homes — simple but cozy — that will include all the basic facilities needed for a comfortable stay.

How does social responsibility fit into your business?

I plan to create two jobs for people from disadvantaged backgrounds and make the space available to sports camps, charitable organizations, or youth clubs at discounted rates or even free of charge. I believe that a business should not only generate profit but also give something back to the community.

What message would you share with young people who want to start their own business?

Patience is key — everything will fall into place with time. Don’t let obstacles discourage you. Once you commit to something, see it through to the end, because success often comes right when you’re about to give up.
