On Wednesday, December 28, tens of more young people, including the hundredth startupper , signed the financing contract with the StartUp HUB at the headquarters of a centre for business development, adult education and vocational training . Before signing the contract, Zsolt Karácsony , Business Development Expert of StartUp HUB, gave detailed information and advice to the young people, after which the financing contracts were signed. Young people between the ages of 18 and 30 would like to implement many ideas in the future, some would work in tourism, but they would also be engaged in event management, development of computer games or medical devices.

The hundredth startupper was Márk Bende from Barót, who would like to start a dental laboratory, i.e. to further develop the family business that his father started earlier, also through a tender opportunity. After signing the contract, we talked with the young entrepreneur about future opportunities and plans.

Where did you hear about this application opportunity, how did the information get to you?
I saw the advertisement on social media and Facebook and this opportunity immediately caught my attention, then Antal Ráduly Róbert from StartUp HUB invited me to the introductory discussion in Barót, where this opportunity was presented. At the time, I felt it was a great idea and I would try to implement the plans I had wanted for a long time. At the same time, applying was nothing new for me, as my father undertook the same venture, he won a 40,000 euro tender and built his own laboratory from it.

How does this amount help, how can you move forward, develop your business or start a new one?
Currently, this amount helps me the most in that I can focus on development and spend money, because it was not possible to do this before. At the same time, the involvement of digital technology is also very important in this area, because while my father works with analog methods, I will have the opportunity to take advantage of the latest developments. Everything that has had to be done elsewhere in this area can now be realized at home, in Barót.

What solutions does the technology you’re investing in offer?
We often say that there is no dentist without a dental technician, it is essential that we prepare the medical devices that will be used by doctors and oral surgeons. Through the tender, I can buy machines that have not been possible in Barót so far, so professionals have been looking for solutions in the surrounding towns.

What message do you have for those who would like to do business, apply or look for opportunities?
My message is that it’s definitely worth watching the opportunities and then applying, because when they put out the result and you see that you’ve won a significant amount of money, it’s a huge feeling. You forget all the worries, tensions and rejoice, because 25,000 euros is a lot of money, it can be spent very usefully, and it is definitely worth your time.
