In November 2024, a dynamic team of young people from the StartUp HUB Association represented Romania in the “Around Europe – Culture Swap” youth exchange held in Podhájska, Slovakia, organized by ADEL Slovakia. The project brought together 30 young people from 6 countries – Portugal, Italy, Germany, Slovakia, Estonia, and Romania – to discover and celebrate the cultural diversity of Europe together.
Each day of the program was dedicated to one country’s cultural heritage. Participants got to know the unique features, traditions, and challenges of each nation through language workshops, traditional dances, cooking sessions, and meaningful intercultural discussions.
One of the most memorable moments was the international cooking evening, where mixed-nationality teams prepared traditional dishes. The recipes were compiled into a beautifully designed Recipe Book: 📘 Download the Recipe Book
Another important outcome of the project is the Culture Swap Toolkit, which includes country presentations, basic language expressions, traditional customs, and folk games:
