On January 30th, at the joint event of StartUp HUB and VET Center Romania, we honored the partner companies with whom we collaborated throughout 2025 to support the development of young talents within the Erasmus+ program.

Over the past year, we welcomed a total of 463 students and 156 teachers from several countries to Sfântu Gheorghe. The students immersed themselves in 51 different professions—ranging from technical fields to creative industries—applying their knowledge in real-world professional environments. This large-scale mobility would not have been possible without our 111 dedicated professional partners, who opened their doors to provide genuine mentorship for the students.

Csongor Oltean, co-founder of StartUp HUB, emphasized the power of partnerships: “It is a significant achievement that these collaborations have remained stable, with companies acting as true mentors to the students. We trust that we will carry this collective work forward with the same momentum in the future.”

Márton Norbert Béres, Operations Manager of VET Center, shared his thoughts on the coordinated effort behind the scenes and the commitment of the team: “Supporting young people is extremely important to us. Seeing that the time spent with us serves as a genuine professional springboard for these young people is the greatest validation of our work. However, none of this could have been realized without the expertise and dedicated background work of our committed colleagues, who work day in and day out to ensure that every mobility program runs flawlessly.”

The event also featured insights from the leaders of our most active host institutions. The Zathureczky Berta Center has been more than just a partner since the beginning; it has been a devoted mentor to the youth. Director Mária Antónia Klárik emphasized the importance of personal attention: “It is an honor to have been partners since the beginning. For us, the students are not just guests but become part of our community—whether through short-term or 90-day long-term internships, I find it personally important to monitor the progress of every young person.”

Beyond vocational training, strategic cooperation with educational institutions is also essential. Edith Simon, Principal of the Berde Áron Economic High School, spoke about the diversity of the partnership: “Working with VET Center goes beyond simple internships: we have successfully hosted international competitions, and our students have proven themselves in both VET and YOU programs. We believe that providing professional venues and mentorship is the best investment in the future generation.”

The past year has proven once again that the mobility opportunities offered by the VET Center create a vital bridge between the world of education and the labor market. We continue on this path in 2026, with our goal remaining unchanged: to provide as many young people as possible with the opportunity for growth right here in Sfântu Gheorghe.
