This time, we present the story of Tóth György Botond, who is launching his construction business, Solidum Construct, in Covasna County. The company aims to become a reliable, long-term partner for families and communities, offering full-service construction solutions from A to Z. Beyond professional execution, the business is built on a strong social mission: supporting families who lack the resources to build or renovate a safe home.

Please introduce yourself and tell us about your business!

Solidum Construct was created with the goal of becoming a trustworthy and durable partner for people who want to build. I have worked in construction both at home and abroad, and over the years I gained valuable experience in all stages of the building process. After returning home, I decided it was time to put this knowledge to work locally and build something of my own. I had already been involved in smaller initiatives helping families who could not afford proper housing, and I saw firsthand how great the need is.

What qualities do you think an entrepreneur must have?

Perseverance is essential—sometimes to an extreme degree. Patience, determination, and strong goal orientation are just as important. Entrepreneurship requires firmness in decisions and the ability to stay focused even in difficult situations.

What was your biggest motivation for starting this business?

The biggest motivation was realizing how much of a gap exists in this field, especially from a social perspective. There are families who simply have no one to turn to in times of crisis. The charitable side of this work is what truly drives me—knowing that through construction, we can offer real, tangible help to those who need it most.

How did you hear about this opportunity, and how does the social mission appear in your project?

I heared about this opportunity through the StartUp HUB team, who provided clear information and genuine support throughout the process. Every year, we plan to select at least one family in a difficult situation—whether due to an accident, natural disaster, financial hardship, or other misfortune. Priority will be given to families with children and no stable income. For them, we will provide housing construction or renovation services, ensuring safer and more dignified living conditions.

What message would you give to those who are thinking about starting a business now?

Start as soon as possible—because it’s never too late. If you have the determination and are willing to work consistently, the right moment is now.
