On 14 August, we concluded our one-month internship programme, which began on 15 July and brought together nine enthusiastic young participants. During this time, our interns played an active role in StartUp HUB’s daily operations and gained first-hand experience in various areas, including HR, administration, communication, design, and event organisation. They also contributed to the preparation and delivery of the SIC Feszt festival.
The programme’s main goal was to provide young people with real work experience, enable them to test their skills in various tasks and support their professional development. Based on their feedback, this goal was fully achieved, with each participant gaining new knowledge, valuable experience and networking opportunities.
Here are some reflections from our interns:
For Zita, the most valuable experience was related to projects and applications. “ I gained a better understanding of how projects are conceived and had the opportunity to observe Erasmus programmes from the organiser’s perspective.”
Zalán, a designer, summarised his month as follows: “ I learnt a lot this month. I used applications that I hadn’t known about before. I realised that there is no such thing as a perfect outcome in this field — there is always room for improvement, and that’s exactly what makes the work beautiful.”

Beáta took her first steps into the world of HR, describing the experience as follows: “My internship was very diverse, with new tasks every week. I discovered what the role of an HR specialist involves, as well as the challenges you can face in this field. Overall, it was an extremely positive experience. I gained a lot of knowledge and had the chance to meet new people.”
For Hanna, the internship brought not only professional but also personal growth: “The program helped me step out of my comfort zone. I learned new things in administration, worked in a team, and built relationships. What I appreciated most was the openness of my colleagues, who involved us even in more complex tasks, through which I learned a lot and understood better how StartUp HUB operates.”

Kriszta, who worked in communications, summarised her experience as follows: “ It was an intense month, full of new experiences. The programme provided me with more than I expected in terms of professional and personal development. I learnt from specialists, worked with the HR and Sales teams, and being involved in SIC Feszt and planning the Family Day were highlights for me. The friendly and open environment encouraged me to take an active role and contribute my own ideas, making this internship a truly valuable experience.”

To mark the end of this inspiring and eventful period, we raised a friendly toast — a symbolic gesture that perfectly concluded the month we spent together. We are truly grateful to our interns for the energy, fresh perspective and creativity they brought to daily life at StartUp HUB.
