This time, we present the story of Crișan Anamaria Cristina, who is embarking on a long-awaited and creative journey: a mobile food trailer offering meals, desserts, and drinks, which she will use both in her home village and at festivals and various events. Anamaria has been dreaming about this business for many years, and thanks to the SES Program, her dream is now becoming reality.
Please introduce yourself and tell us about you and the business you are launching!
I’ve been carrying this idea with me for several years. At first, I wanted to open a café, but then I thought: why not create something more flexible and closer to people? That’s how I arrived at the concept of a mobile food trailer where I will prepare meals, desserts, and drinks. The fact that it’s mobile gives me the freedom to attend festivals, fairs, and events, but also to be present in my own community, offering fresh and delicious products.
From your point of view, what qualities are essential for someone who wants to start their own business?
I believe it is crucial to know how to communicate with people and to be empathetic. If you don’t understand the needs of those in front of you, you cannot offer something truly valuable. Equally important is knowing sales and marketing – everything is digital now, and every business needs online visibility. Adaptability and a willingness to learn continuously are also key qualities.
What was your main motivation for taking this step?
I didn’t want to remain an employee all my life. I wanted the freedom to create, to make my own decisions, and to leave my mark on the things I do. This desire was so strong that it finally pushed me to take the leap.
How did you find out about this opportunity, and what does this support mean to you?
I learned about the program at a presentation in Târgu Mureș, and later from my partner, who encouraged me to apply. The financial support allows me to purchase the trailer and equip it properly so that it can operate according to standards.
How does the social component reflect in your business?
I also want to collaborate with the association in the village where the trailer will be located: my goal is to organize two charity events per year, giving something back to the community.
What message would you give to people who want to start a business in the future?
Have courage. If you truly want something, it can be achieved. You just need to believe in your dream and work for it. Obstacles are normal, but every step forward brings you closer to your own success.
